BROOKLYN — A man who dragged a woman between two cars and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint was arrested Wednesday, the NYPD said.

Elijah Lofton, 19, grabbed the 22-year-old woman, who was talking on her phone, and forced her to kneel between two cars on DeKalb Avenue, near Bedford Avenue, about 1 a.m. on May 17, according to the criminal complaint.

She dropped her phone as she escaped and was taken to Woodhull hospital, treated and released, police and prosecutors said.

Lofton snatched the phone and fled, remaining at large until investigators received information through the Crime Stoppers tip line and arrested him Wednesday, police and prosecutors said.

He is charged with robbery and a criminal sex act, according to prosecutors.

Lofton, who lived three blocks from the crime scene on Clifton Place near Bedford Avenue, was held at Rikers Island on $150,000 bail, records show.

He's due back in court on June 3, according to court records.
