EDENWALD — A Bronx man was ordered held without bail on charges he murdered two men in The Bronx early on Friday.
Jeffrey Pierre, 33, was arraigned on two counts of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in Bronx Criminal Court on Sunday, two days after allegedly shooting Kaiison Lewis, 23, and Jermaine Johnson, 28, both of Mount Vernon, according to his criminal complaint.
Police responding to a 911 call about a robbery at the intersection found the duo riddled with bullets inside a car parked in front of 3730 Rombouts Ave. near Light Street at 4:42 a.m., police said.
Johnson had been shot in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. Lewis had been shot in the head and torso and was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital, police said.
A .40 caliber and 9mm gun were both recovered from the scene, police said.
Pierre was ordered held without bail at Rikers Island jail at and is due back in court on Thursday, according to the Bronx District Attorney's office.
