DUMBO — ReBar gastropub and theater closed without warning on Friday.

Several staffers showed up for work to find the pub, located at 147 Front St., closed and a sign that read, "reBar is Closed and Bankrupt. DO NOT ENTER," Gothamist reported.

ReBar's owner Jason Stevens recently announced a full lineup of events slated for upcoming months, but managers said Stevens sent an email Friday stating "Rebar is bankrupt and closed. Please dispose of your keys and do not enter the premises. Please forward to any staff not included," the blog reported.

Stevens did not respond to a request for comment.

Employees have not received a final paycheck and several weddings are scheduled for this weekend and upcoming weeks, according to Gothamist.

"It hasn't even been slow, it's been busy the last couple of weeks," reBar employee Adam Keaton told Gothamist. "My rent is due today too, we're supposed to get paid today."
