STATEN ISLAND — A summer camp counselor already accused of sexually assaulting two young girls was arrested this week for possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.
Endrick Torres, 33, who worked at Big Bird's Playhouse in New Springville for four years, was arrested for having six videos saved on his MacBook Pro of sexual performances of children younger than 16-years-old, according to his arrest record.
Torres, of Elmhurst, Queens, pleaded not guilty to a 29-count indictment on Wednesday, which includes several counts of sexual abuse and possession of child porn, according to the District Attorney's office.
In August, Torres was accused of sexually abusing an 10-year-old girl while on a bus ride to a field trip with the camp, prosecutors said. A month later, Torres was arrested again after a 8-year-old camper told her mother that Torres abused her after seeing news reports about his arrest.
His bail was increased to $75,000 bond, $50,000 cash, at his latest arraignment this week, and he is due back in court on May 27, the DA said.
