MOTT HAVEN — Four men stole about $700 and several credit cards from a 42-year-old female employee at a South Bronx restaurant last weekend, according to the NYPD.
The suspects entered Changarrito, located at 593 Prospect Ave., at 10 p.m. on on April 12. Three of them distracted the employee while the fourth went behind the counter, took her purse and fled the scene.
Police describe the suspects as four males who are about 18-20 years old.
Jose Flores, who works at Changarrito and was present for the robbery, said he was surprised to see it occur.
“You don’t actually expect that to happen,” he said.
