Police Trying to Identify Bicyclist Injured in East Harlem Accident

EAST HARLEM — Police are trying to positively identify a bicyclist in critical condition after getting hit by an SUV Thursday afternoon.

The victim, believed to be Jose Carrilla-Guadalupe, 20, was riding his bike on Lexington Avenue near East 104th Street when he was struck by a red Ford Escape about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, the NYPD said.

The 5-foot-4, 165-pound man was rushed to Cornell Hospital with severe head trauma, police said.

The NYPD is also hoping to locate his family.
