UPPER WEST SIDE — A man was arrested for trying to lure three young girls into his car to watch him touch himself across from their middle school last week, authorities said.

Nnamdi Ihim, 25, was sitting in a red vehicle at Columbus Avenue and West 105th Street Friday morning when he called out to three girls from nearby West Prep Academy, offering them money to watch him masturbate, police said.

The middle school girls reported that Ihim asked, "Why don't you get in the car with me? I will give you $250 to watch me [touch myself]," according to the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

The girls then ran into the school, where they told their teachers what happened, police said.

A police officer from the 24th Precinct responded to the scene, found Ihim still sitting in his vehicle and arrested him, the criminal complaint said.

Ihim is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and three counts of attempting to lure a child, according to the complaint.

His lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.

"We have met with families and have made the counselor available to students," said West Prep Academy Principal Roberto Padilla.

A Department of Education spokeswoman said the department was fully cooperating with police.
