EAST NEW YORK — A 27-year-old man died Saturday from a single gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
Officers on patrol responded to a call from 1156 Sutter Ave., where they found the man inside the building with a single gunshot wound to his torso at about 2 a.m., police said.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital but declared dead on arrival.
An investigation into the death is ongoing, police said, and the vicitm's identity had not been released pending family notification.
