JACKSON HEIGHTS — The site of a legendary former metal club, which was most recently a bar, is now up for sale.

The real estate agent, Jairo Barrone, said the storefront at 83-11 Northern Blvd. was listed at $195,000. Renting the bar would cost $10,500 per month, he said.

The location was most recently a tapas bar called La Tasca, but it is known to many as the former home of Castle Heights, a metal bar and club that closed in 2002.

Castle Heights hosted famed bands including Mastodon and Hatebreed during its tenure as one of the borough's most well-known metal bars.

Many of the old bar's fans now get their fix at Blackthorn 51, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary in Elmhurst.
