MIDTOWN — A woman was hospitalized after a cab collided with a sedan Thursday morning.

The cab heading south on Seventh Avenue struck the driver-side door of a gray sedan crossing West 56th Street about 10:16 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

One unidentified woman was taken to Cornell Hospital with head lacerations. Her injuries did not appear to be life threatening. It was unclear if the woman was in one of the vehicles or a pedestrian.

The other woman, who was driving the sedan, said she was "ok," but appeared to be shaken up by the collision. She declined to give her name as she was being evaluated at scene for injuries.

The taxi driver blamed the other driver for the crash.

"She ran the light and I hit her," the cabbie, who also declined to give his name, said.
