MANHATTAN — A man went into cardiac arrest after he was hit by a northbound M train in the Bryant Park subway station ahead of Thursday morning's rush-hour commute, officials said.

Emergency crews raced to the station at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue about 6 a.m. and removed the man from the tracks, FDNY and MTA officials said.

He was rushed to Bellevue hospital in critical condition, an FDNY spokesman said.

Uptown F and M trains temporarily bypassed the Bryant Park station, but returned to normal later in the morning, the MTA said.
