BROWNSVILLE — A 52-year-old man was found with fatal stab wounds in a Brownsville stairwell early Sunday morning, police said.
According to the NYPD, Michael Artist was found unconscious in the Brownsville Houses at 345 Dumont Avenue shortly before 2 a.m.. He had been stabbed in the chest and left arm, police said.
Artist, who lived nearby but was not a resident of the Brownsville Houses, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made, and police said the investigation is ongoing.
