QUEENS — A massive fire swept through a Jamaica church Monday morning, injuring four firefighters, the FDNY said.

The flames erupted about 3 a.m. in the basement of Deliverance Tabernacle Church of Christ at 144-1 Sutter Ave. and quickly spread to the first floor, an FDNY spokesman said.

Four firefighters were treated for minor injuries at Jamaica Hospital, the spokesman said. No civilian injuries were reported.

The approximately 106 firefighters who responded to the blaze brought it under control in about 90 minutes, the FDNY said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, a fire spokesman said.
