ELMHURST — The year of the horse will ride into Elmhurst this weekend with a parade celebrating the Lunar New Year.

The neighborhood's fourth annual Lunar New Year parade kicks off Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. in C.C Moore Homestead Park, at Broadway and 45th Avenue.

The route ends at the Elmhurst Memorial League, 88-24 43rd Ave., about an hour later. That's when the celebration begins, including a resource fair and traditional Asian performances.

An art workshop from the Queens Museum will also provide activities for the whole family.

The celebration of year 4712 in the Chinese calendar — the year of the horse — began Jan. 31, with celebrations across the city.
