BROOKLYN — A man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being shot in the head in Brownsville Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The shooting happened at Hull Street and Mother Gaston Boulevard about 3:33 p.m., the fire department said. The unidentified victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital.
"As the investigation continues, we here in the community will work feverishly to help identify who this gunman may have been so that we can get that person and that gun off our streets!" anti-violence advocate Tony Herbert said in a statement.
There were no arrests Wednesday evening and the investigation was ongoing.
