MIDTOWN — A series of signal malfunctions caused headaches for straphangers Tuesday morning during the rush-hour commute, a day after a track fire and electrical problems disrupted service across the boroughs.
Northbound 2 and 5 trains were running with delays Tuesday morning because of a signal malfunction at the Jackson Avenue stop in the South Bronx, according to the MTA.
Because of signal problems at Pelham Bay Park, 6 trains were running with delays in both directions.
Manhattan-bound D trains were also running slower than usual following signal issues at the 20th Avenue stop in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
Manhattan-bound N and Q trains were running with delays due to signal problems at Queensboro Plaza. Because of weather-related conditions, N trains were also running local from Barclays Center to the 59th Street stop in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, according to the MTA.
Switch issues at Lefferts Boulevard caused north-bound A trains to run express from Lefferts Boulevard to Rockaway Boulevard.
