MORRISANIA — Two men were shot, one fatally, inside the Forest Houses housing complex located on Friday, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call just after 9 p.m. Friday night reporting a man had been shot in the lobby of a building at 730 East 166th St., between Jackson Ave. and Forest Ave.

On arrival, the police found Darin Capehart, 25, shot multiple times in the torso, and the second man, 27, shot several times in the back and the legs.

Capehart was pronounced dead on arrival at the nearby Lincoln Hospital, police said. The second man is being treated at the same hospital and is in stable condition. No arrests had been made immediately, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
