CASTLE HILL — The NYPD is seeking help identifying a suspect in the attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl.

The girl was walking on Castle Hill Avenue, near Lafayette Place in the Bronx, just before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, when the suspect approached her, grabbed her and attempted to get her into his blue Astro van, police said.

According to police, the girl was able to break free, and the suspect fled in the van. The NYPD is looking for an 18-year-old male, five feet tall, weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing brown boots and a black snorkel jacket at the time of the attempted kidnapping.
