Vandals Damage Hatzolah Volunteer's Car With Anti-Semitic Graffiti

QUEENS — Vandals damaged the car of a Hatzolah ambulance volunteer in Kew Gardens by slashing all four tires and writing an anti-Semitic remark on the trunk last weekend, police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 12, at approximately 5:30 a.m. in front of the owner’s apartment building near the intersection of Queens Boulevard and 82nd Avenue, police said.

The vandals slashed all of the tires and wrote the phrase “Jesus killed by you” with a black marker on the trunk of the 2002 Honda Accord, which belongs to a member of the Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a volunteer Jewish ambulance group.

Authorities also said that the vehicle had a Volunteer Ambulance Service license plates (VAS).

The incident is under investigation, police said.

Queens Hatzolah did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
