CORONA — The tints did them in.
Two men were nabbed for driving around Corona with crack, cocaine, marijuana and a load of cash after their car was pulled over for tinted windows, according to police.
Suspect Stephen Foster, 24, was stopped on the corner of 100th Street and Northern Boulevard around 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 8 for driving a Chrysler sedan with windows that were too dark, police said.
During the traffic stop, investigators allegedly saw a plastic bag of marijuana near the feet of passenger Kristian Powell, 22, and saw a portion of another bag stuffed into the dashboard, police said.
The officer believed there was a hidden compartment in the car, so he got a search warrant, police said.
After searching the car, police said they found 37 grams of crack-cocaine, 52 grams of cocaine, 144 grams of marijuana and over $1,000 in cash inside the hidden compartment, according to the criminal complaint.
Foster and Powell were arraigned on Jan. 9 and charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of illegal window tints.
Information on their lawyers was not immediately available.
