NORTHERN MANHATTAN — The MTA's Fastrack repairs will knock out 1 train service for residents above 96th Street in Manhattan over four consecutive nights.
Beginning Jan. 13 and continuing through Jan. 17, 1 trains will not operate between 96th and Dyckman streets from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The MTA will provide free shuttle bus service at the bypassed stations, and service above Dyckman Street and below 96th Street will not be affected.
Commuters in Washington Heights, Harlem and the Upper West Side are advised to take nearby A trains. The shuttle buses will provide free transfers to subway stations at Dyckman Street, 96th Street and the 168th Street A train station.
The Fastrack program shuts down train service on affected lines for several nights in a row to allow repair crews to work uninterrupted.
