BROOKLYN — A 16-year-old boy was shot dead at a party in Ocean Hill Saturday night, according to police and reports.

Iquan Williams, a Bushwick resident, was at a party at 1856 Prospect Place, near Eastern Parkway, when gunfire broke out about 10:30 p.m., police said.

Williams was shot in the head just outside the building and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The teen's distraught family told the Daily News that they had warned Williams not to go to the party after hearing on Facebook that one of the attendees planned to bring a gun.

"We called him at 9 p.m., and said, 'Don't go,'" Tiana Williams, the victim's mother, told the Daily News. "He texted me [about 10 p.m.]. I said, 'Watch your surroundings. Be careful.' He said, 'I love you.' I said, 'I love you.'"

Iquan Williams was a sophomore at Frederick Douglass Academy, according to reports.

Police did not immediately make an arrest in the shooting, and the investigation was ongoing on Sunday.
