BROOKLYN — A teenager was gunned down in a hail of bullets outside a Bushwick funeral parlor New Year's Day in the city's second homicide, police and neighbors said.

Malik Bhola, 17, was standing in a crowd of holiday partiers in front of the Borinquen Memorial Funeral Home on Bushwick Avenue near Pilling Street when suspects drove up, got out of the car and sprayed bullets at the teen about 3 p.m., according to the NYPD. Bhola was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he died.

Arsenio Lopez, the owner of Borinquen Memorial Funeral Home, said that his business was pockmarked with bullet holes during the fight.

"There were a whole bunch of kids out there last night," Lopez said.
