BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man who fired several shots inside an apartment building, hitting a teenager in the arm.

The assault happened Dec. 21 about 9:50 a.m. near 85 Tompkins Ave., police said.

The suspect appeared to be aiming at the 18-year-old victim, police said. A nearby security camera captured the suspect and three unidentified men running away from the apartment complex soon after the shooting.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-7 man, 135 pounds, with black hair. He wore a dark coat, gray pants and black shoes.

The shooting came three weeks after Cory Goulbourne, 33, was fatally shot on at the same location. The site is directly across the street from an elementary school, Success Academy, and Foundations Academy, a public high school.

Anyone with information on the assault or the suspect is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
