BROOKLYN — A Coney Island man was shot to death in the stairwell of his Coney Island public housing complex Friday morning, police said.
Shawn White, 25, was discovered with gunshot wounds to the head, body and leg by police who were responding to a 911 call in the fourth-floor stairwell at 2925 West 27th St., officials said.
Emergency medical responders declared him dead at the scene, police said.
Detectives have not made an arrest and are continuing to investigate the shooting death, according to the NYPD.
White was arrested in March for punching two police officers during a traffic stop on West 23rd Street and Neptune Avenue, according to authorities. He also had two previous arrests, in 2008 and 2009, for drug dealing, authorities said.
