MANHATTAN — Police are searching for three suspects who stole an $8,000 fur jacket from a high-end Madison Avenue boutique last month, the NYPD and store staff said.

Two men and a woman swiped the pricey mink wrap jacket — one of the store's most expensive items — from Collette at 1298 Madison Ave. about 5 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2013, police and employees said.

The store is a consignment shop for high-end, designer clothing and accessories, according to its website. No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.

The store's manager said surveillance video showed that the female suspect and one of the male suspects distracted sales staff while the third suspect stuffed the coat into his jacket.

Despite a drop in most major crimes in the 19th Precinct, grand larcenies have been on the rise — with 1,433 incidents so far this year, compared to 1,343 during the same period last year, NYPD figures show.

Police ask that anyone with information contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or text 274637 and enter TIP577.
