PARK SLOPE — Police are on the hunt for a man who they said forced his way into a 20-year-old woman's apartment and raped her.

The attack happened about 8 p.m. on Nov. 11, near Prospect Park West and Union Street, police said.

The NYPD released a sketch of the suspect on Tuesday and asked for the public's help tracking him down.

Major crimes are down 2.26 percent so far this year in the 78th Precinct compared with the same period in 2012, according to the latest figures from the NYPD. However, there's been an increase in rapes. There were three reported rapes at this time in 2012 and there have been eight reported so far in 2013.

Anyone with information about the attack should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips on the Crime Stoppers' website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then entering TIP577.
