MEATPACKING DISTRICT— A man was hospitalized after he plunged from the High Line Thursday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman said.

The unidentified man was still breathing when fire department emergency responders found him at 3:40 p.m. on Little West 12 Street near Washington Street under the elevated park, officials said.

The manager of Hector's Diner which is located near where the man landed said was still conscious when emergency medical workers took him away in an ambulance.

"He had no shoes on," Nick Kapelonis said. He said the man also wore a shirt but no jacket.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. The fire department did not know the man's condition.
