UPPER WEST SIDE — A pair of muggers beat and robbed a man of his wallet on West 75th Street on Thanksgiving night, police said.
The 25-year-old victim was walking eastbound on West 75th Street from Amsterdam Avenue about 1:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, when two men began walking toward him, bumped into him and began punching him, according to police reports.
The two approximately 30-year-old suspects punched the victim repeatedly in the back of the head and near his face, saying, "give me your money," police said. The victim then took out his wallet and threw a few dollars at them, according to police.
The two attackers, who were wearing black jeans and black jackets, then punched the victim in the stomach and took his wallet and keys before fleeing eastbound on West 75th Street and then south on Columbus Avenue, police added.
Along with his keys and wallet, the victim was robbed of $20 in cash and two credit cards, the report stated.
Officers did a canvas of the area for the two men — one described as 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds, the other described as 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds — but did not find them, police said.

A 24-year-old man had his iPhone 5S, two rings worth $1,200, his debit card, learners' permit and MetroCard taken from his locker in the men's room at the Gertrude Ederle Recreation Center on West 60th Street, police said. The man locked his locker but returned from the pool to find it open and the items missing. "There have been a couple of other locker break-ins since the center opened," said a spokesman for the Parks Department. The agency encourages members to store valuables in the lockers in the center's lobby, where it said there is a staff presence.

A 20-year-old woman had her laptop, iPhone and purse stolen from an office of the YMCA on West 63rd Street on Nov. 25 between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m., police said. She was swimming in the pool when the theft occurred, police added. The YMCA did not return a request for comment.

A 27-year-old woman had her West 85th Street apartment burglarized of $7,550 worth of jewelry on Nov. 26 at 8:50 a.m., police said. The victim's neighbor noticed her apartment door was open and called the building super, who came and fixed the door before the victim returned, police added.

A 34-year-old woman had her Louis Vuitton bag stolen from the restaurant Slightly Oliver at 511 Amsterdam Ave., police said. The victim realized she'd left her bag at the restaurant three hours later on Nov. 24 at 3 p.m., police noted. When she returned, the restaurant's hostess told her a patron that was sat at the victim's table after she left found and gave the hostess the wallet. But her bag — including $120 in cash, MetroCard, a New Jersey Transit card, several credit cards and her license — were missing. Slightly Oliver did not return request for comment.
