The 45-year-old man was trying to leave the elevator in a building near Clinton and Henry streets about 9 p.m. Nov. 23 when he was grabbed from behind by two of the suspects, according to a surveillance video released by police. The three suspects — two men and one woman — fled on foot with the money, according to police.

The victim was not injured, police said.
