UPPER EAST SIDE — A Queens man was killed Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a Land Rover while crossing Second Avenue.
Buddhi Thapa, 42, was walking eastbound on 89th Street across Second Avenue when an SUV driving south hit him at 12:55 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The driver remained on the scene and had not been charged as of Wednesday, police said. Police were still investigating.
Thapa, who lived in Jackson Heights, was taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell where he was declared dead, police said.
