MIDTOWN — New Yorkers are about to experience several seasons in just one weekend.
From balmy, 60-degree temperatures on Friday, the city is set to plunge to its first deep freeze of the year by Sunday when the mercury will drop into the teens — and will barely rise above 32.
Snow showers could be in the works as well, with strong wind gusts likely sweeping in from the Northwest at 36 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
The high Sunday should be around 35 degrees, but it will feel a lot colder with the whipping winds. Sunday night temps are expected to top just 23 degrees, according to the NWS.
“It’s going to be cold,” a NWS spokeswoman said. “There’s a pretty strong cold front coming in Saturday during the day. There’s an Arctic air mass coming in from the Northwest.”
There’s a 20 percent chance of flurries, the spokeswoman added, but those likely won’t accumulate.
The record high temperature for Nov. 24 is 73 degrees set in 1979. The record low of 14 degrees was set in 1880, according to the service.
