Man Killed By Subway Train in Brooklyn

NEW YORK CITY — A 40-year-old man died after being struck by a train at a Brooklyn subway station Saturday night, the NYPD said.

Police found the unidentified man unconscious on the southbound tracks of the 2 train at the Winthrop Station about 11:40 p.m. near the corner of Winthrop Street and Nostrand Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, police said.

He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner's Office had not released the cause of death and police said an investigation was ongoing.
