Police Arrest Four Suspected Latin Kings Members in Woodhaven

QUEENS — The NYPD arrested four suspected Latin Kings gang members — including three teens — for having a loaded gun in Woodhaven last month, police officials said Tuesday.

At a Community Board 9 meeting, police officials said that the men — David Golden, 17, Raymond Almonte, 20, Danny Miranda, 19, Anthony Yepez, 19 — were arrested on Oct. 24 around 12:45 a.m. at 88th Street and 95th Avenue, near London Planetree Playground, police said.

According to the criminal complaint, police officers from the gang division spotted the men standing in a circle around a bag.

The officers then allegedly saw Golden pulling something from the waist area of his pants. He then walked to a nearby home and placed the object, which was later discovered to be a machete, on the ground, according to the complaint.

Golden later rejoined the group, which took off in a car. When police stopped them, investigator found a 9mm semi-automatic Helwan handgun loaded with eight rounds.

The men, who have criminal records, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, police sources said. Their lawyers were not immediately available for comment.
