BB Gun-Wielding Man Hits NYPD Car En Route to Bronx Fire, Police Say

THE BRONX — A man with a BB gun shot at a police car, responding to an apartment building fire early Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.

Officers were responding to reports of a fire at 1168 Stratford Ave. in Soundview when their car was hit with multiple BBs in the front and rear windshield while heading westbound on Stratford Avenue toward Westchester Avenue about 12:25 a.m.

The shooter is described as 18 to 22 years old, five feet nine to five feet ten inches tall and about 200 pounds.
