One Person Critically Injured in Bronx Fire, FDNY Says

THE BRONX — One person was critically injured after a fire broke out in a third floor apartment of a Concourse Village building Wednesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The blaze erupted at 270 East 162nd St., near Morris Avenue, about 5:50 a.m., the FDNY said.

One person was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition, a fire spokesman said.

About 60 firefighters brought the flames under control about 6:30 a.m., the FDNY said.
