Teen Disappears on Way to Sunset Park High School, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A 14-year-old girl went missing on her way to school in Brooklyn last week, police said.

Kinete Lewis was last seen leaving her East Flatbush home about 8:15 a.m. Oct. 8, the NYPD said. She was on her way to Lillian Rashkis High School at 355 37th St. in Sunset Park.

Lewis is 5-foot-3 and weighs 140 pounds, police said.

She went missing just a couple days after 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo disappeared after leaving his school in Long Island City. Oquendo, who is 5-foot-3 and weighs 125 pounds, is autistic and does not speak.
