NEW YORK CITY — Construction and maintenance on eleven subway lines is expected to affect travel plans through the weekend.
Disruptions on the 4, 5, 6, 7, A, D, E, F, G, N, and R will begin late Friday and last until early Monday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
Here's a look at weekend travel line by line:
There will be no 4 trains between Woodlawn and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, starting at 11:45 p.m., the 4 train will run express between Grand Central-42nd Street and 14th Street-Union Square, while downtown 6 trains will run express between Grand Central and Union Square for the entire weekend due to signal work.
The 6 train will also continue to skip Middletown Road and Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx in both directions through May 2014, due to station renewal work.
From 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m Sunday, the 5 train will run every 20 minutes between Dyre Avenue and Bowling Green, also due to signal work.
There will be no 7 trains between Times Square-42nd Street and Queensboro Plaza from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m Monday, but the 42nd Street shuttle service will operate through the night between 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday due to 7 train suspension.
From 5:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, there will be no A train between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Far Rockaway/Rockaway Park due to track panel work and maintenance.
From 12 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound A trains and Coney Island-bound D trains will run local from 125th Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle due to track tie renewal.
From 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, E trains will run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and Forrest Hills-71st Avenue due to signal modernization.
From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will be rerouted via the M line from 47th-50th Streets to Queens Plaza, due to work on the Second Avenue subway project. From 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will also run local from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue, and Coney Island-bound F trains will run local from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to 21st Street-Queensbridge.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will run express from Church Avenue to Smith-9th Streets.
Through the end of October, there will be no N or R trains running between Court Street in Brooklyn and Whitehall Street in Manhattan. Late night N and weekend R service are rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.
From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound N trains will be rerouted via the D line in Brooklyn from 36th Street to Stillwell Avenue.
From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Q service is extended to and from Ditmars Boulevard due to 7 train suspension between Manhattan and Queens.
Manhattan-bound Q platforms at Cortelyou Road, Beverly Road and Parkside Avenue in Brooklyn will remain close until December, due to station work.
