New York Transit Museum
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — These amateurs may not swing from poles or catch their hats with their feet, but they will get the chance to belt it out like the pros.
The New York Transit Museum is hosting a night of karaoke amongst vintage subway cars, giving regular New Yorkers the chance to try out being subway performers.
The event celebrates the museum's latest exhibit, Album Tracks: Subway Record Covers — a 40-piece collection of vinyl album covers that feature the New York City subway, including Billy Joel's "Turnstiles," Duke Ellington's "Take the A Train," The Brecker Brothers' "Straphangin'" and The Ramones' "Subterranean Jungle."
