TRIBECA — A longtime SoulCycle instructor is bringing another sweaty form of exercise to TriBeCa.

Bethany Lyons — one of the original instructors at the popular indoor cycling fitness center, now a chain known for its high-energy workouts with an added, yoga-like spiritual element — is set to open a “power” yoga studio in November.

The 1,700-square-foot studio, called Lyons Den Power Yoga, is currently under construction at 279 Church St.

Lyons, who will continue to teach at SoulCycle, said she’s long wanted to open a yoga studio with this athletic, flowing type of yoga, known as power or vinyasa style.

Her studio, which will hold up to about 40 people, will be heated to a toasty 90 degrees for the yoga sessions, which will run either 60 or 90 minutes.

“These classes really push you to step up to your limits, but everyone’s edge is different,” she said, noting that the classes will be open to all levels. “And, we’re here to support you and help you challenge yourself."

Lyons said the pricing will be “competitive,” but she is still tweaking the rates. There will be a per-class price, as well as package prices.

She’s hoping to have a grand opening the weekend of Nov. 8.
