CARROLL GARDENS — This parking lot is reserved for VIBs — very important babies.

A children’s dance studio is catering to young students' transportation needs by offering a gated parking area exclusively for strollers.

Cobble Hill Ballet opened its newly renovated Carroll Gardens studio at Court and Carroll streets on Sept. 7, unveiling a gated-in stroller parking section next to the building.

The studio's owners created the space to give parents a safe place to leave their strollers while they accompany their kids to the second floor dance space at 232 Carroll St., said Colette Linton-Meyer, the school's owner.

"I don't want strollers coming up the stairs,” said Linton-Meyer, adding that "it's just dangerous” for parents to haul babies and strollers up the stairwell.

Linton-Meyer was uncertain of the number of strollers that could be parked in the space.

Cobble Hill Ballet, which teaches about 600 students aged 3 to adult, will be expanding its classical ballet, pointe work and modern dance classes at the new Carroll Gardens studio, Linton-Meyer told DNAinfo New York in July.

Linton-Meyer, who was trained at the Royal Academy of Dance in England, will continue to offer classes at the studio's original Columbia Street location.

"I am so thrilled to be able to bring our ballet classes to Carroll Gardens," said Linton-Meyer, who started the school 10 years ago, in a press release.

"It is such a gift to see the children grow and blossom as dancers, and to have known them for so long."
