RED HOOK — Waterfront pizzeria Posh Tomato is bringing “exotic” pies to Red Hook with toppings like salmon, cinnamon dust and chocolate ganache.

The restaurant, which opened last month at 252 Conover St., serves classic pizzas and a few “non-traditional” options, said Chanie Kaminker, spokeswoman for Posh Tomato.

“It’s not the average pizza joint,” she said.

Posh Tomato, which has two other locations in Midwood and Gravesend, serves only thin-crust brick oven pizzas with homemade sauce and mozzarella, Kaminker said.

Their menu features pizzas like a portabella mushroom pie with fresh mozzarella, Parmesan, goat cheese and a drizzle of white truffle oil, a smoked salmon pizza and a Hawaiian pie with sweet sauce, red onion, bell peppers and fresh cut pineapple.

But don’t forget dessert.

Posh Tomato’s “Cheesecake” pie is made with homemade cheese spread, cinnamon dust, chocolate chips and a dulce de leche drizzle. Their “Chocolate” pizza is topped with chocolate ganache, cinnamon dust, marshmallow and a chocolate drizzle.

“Pizza is all we do and we take it really seriously,” Kaminker said.

Personal pies at Posh Tomato range from $6.75 to $15.
