FORT GEORGE — Wadsworth Terrace, a sloping street in Fort George, is on deck to get a complete reconstruction that will bring the area new trees, catch basins and other such improvements starting next spring, city officials announced.

The road, which stretches from Fairview Terrace to West 190th Street, will be completely rebuilt with new streets and sidewalks starting in the spring, and should be completed by summer 2015, officials said at Community Board 12's traffic and transportation committee on Monday night.

The plans have been in the works since November 2011 and are expected to cost up to $5 million, according to Department of Design and Construction spokesman Craig Chin.
