Six Injured in Elmhurst House Fire

ELMHURST — Six people were injured, including one critically, after a fire ripped through a home in Elmhurst Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.

The blaze started around 1 p.m. on the first floor of the two story brick home at 41-23 Forley St., near Britton Avenue, according to the FDNY.

It was out at around 1:30 p.m, they said.

Five firefighters were injured, including one with serious injuries and another victim was listed in critical condition.

All were taken to Elmhurst Hospital, according to officials.
