WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Officials and residents in northern Manhattan remembered the events of the 9/11 terrorist attacks with solemn events Wednesday.

The 34th Precinct marked the occasion early in the morning with a ceremony outside of the precinct stationhouse. Officers from the precinct stood at attention while Deputy Inspector Barry Buzzetti read the name of the NYPD members who died 12 years ago.

In Inwood, residents held their own ceremony at Bruce's Garden in Isham Park Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
