MELROSE — Two men were shot, and one died, early Saturday after gunfire erupted along a Bronx street early Saturday morning.

Police responding to a 911 call on Park Avenue at 3 a.m. found Karshon Brooks, 26, bleeding from gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder, and torso near 158th Street, police said.

Soon after, police discovered another victim in front of 3073 Park Avenue, a 21-year-old man, who had been shot in the left thigh, police said. Both men were rushed to Lincoln Hospital, but Brooks, of Mott Haven, died of his injuries.

The other victim was in stable condition, police said. An investigation into the Melrose shooting was ongoing on Saturday, cops said.
