ROCKAWAY BEACH — The third annual New York City Honey Festival will set Rockaway Beach abuzz Saturday, with bee-themed vendors, honey demonstrations and honey beer.

A hive of vendors will sell everything inspired by bees — from local honey to beeswax-based candles and cosmetics and t-shirts emblazoned with the bugs.

Kids can check out how honey is made, help with a honey extraction and take part in a mural painting.

And adults can indulge in honey-infused desserts and honey-flavored beer from Kelso and the Rockaway Brewing Company.

The festival, which celebrates the city’s apiarists and their hard-working bees, is sponsored by the Brooklyn Grange Farm in Long Island City and the Rockaway Beach Club.

The event takes place in front of Rippers, on the Beach 86th Street boardwalk island in Rockaway Beach.

The New York City Honey Festival starts at 11 a.m. and goes until sundown. For directions and more details, visit their website.
