Burglar Steals MacBook and Jar of Change From LES Apartment, Cops Say

LOWER EAST SIDE — A man broke into a Lower East Side apartment last month and stole more than $2,600 worth of electronics, watches and change, police said.

The suspect entered the apartment at 143 Ludlow St. sometime between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 21, nabbing an Apple MacBook computer, an iPod, four watches and a jar of change, according to police.

The suspect was last seen wearing light jeans, a black T-shirt and a cap, according to a photo released by police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
