SOUNDVIEW — A young man was stabbed to death on a commercial stretch of Westchester Avenue early Saturday morning, and police were investigating the homicide, the NYPD said.
The victim, 21, was found bleeding with multiple stab wounds in his torso, police said, on the northwest corner of Wheeler Avenue and Westchester, near a check-cashing facility.
A worker at Dolex Dollar Express said she didn't see the incident and that it didn't occur inside the shop, but would not comment further on the crime.
The man was rushed to Jacobi Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
