13-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted in Queens Elevator, Cops Say

QUEENS — Cops are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a 13-year old girl inside her building’s elevator in South Jamaica on Sunday, police said.

The man followed the girl into an elevator in the South Jamaica Housing Development around 7:30 a.m. Once inside, he sexually assaulted her, according to cops. When they reached the girl's floor, she screamed and the man ran off, police said.

Cops described the suspect as approximately 20- to 25-years-old, about 5-foot-8 with a thin build. The suspect's image was captured on surveillance cameras.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black and white t-shirt and a black and white baseball cap.
